CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindications are conditions or symptoms that restrict you from being a candidate for the service. If you have one or more of the following conditions, we may need to reassess whether lash extensions are appropriate for you:

  • Under 18

  • Viral infections or diseases

  • Healing disorders

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure

  • History of keloid scarring

  • Pregnant or lactating women

  • Hemophiliac

  • Chemical peels within last two weeks

  • Easily triggered post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation

  • History of cold sores*

  • Active skin cancer, psoriasis or eczema on lips

  • Lip fillers within past month

  • Epilepsy

  • Undergoing chemotherapy

  • Transmittable blood condition (HIV or Hepatitis)

  • Blood thinners

  • Accutane use in the past 6 months

*Cold sores: If client is prone to cold sores, lip tattooing can cause outbreaks. It is the client’s responsibility to take a prescribed antiviral medication (ie. Valtrex) from your doctor a few days before their appointment and after the procedure to prevent any cold sores or lessen the severity of an outbreak. If the client has an outbreak or any type of scratch/acne on their lips, the client should reschedule their appointment.
